Awesome Weekend

I had such a great weekend. Finally got to go back to Caddo Lake and relax on the lake (literally). And apparently they are making a movie out there about the swamp thing or something like that. We tried to find them but they were gone from the location we were told they would be at. Just missed them too. But they will be out there for all of september so maybe I will still get my chance to be a star. I wish summer wasn't ending. I still haven't gotten to go to the beach. It's much harder here in northeast texas for me to get to the ocean than it used to be. When I lived in california I only had to drive maybe 2 hrs to get to the ocean. Now it takes most of the day. I really miss it though.

I made a layout of my daughter Heaven. It's called "Everyday Princess" because I was inspired by the poem by Thena Smith. I used a kit by Chelly Oliveira called "Sweet Spring" available at Faith Sisters, Scraps2You, and the Little Scrap Garden.

Grand Opening, New LO's and a Free Quickpage

Well Daydreamer Designworks has finally opened its doors this weekend. They have such a nice site over there. I love the design first of all. So soft and magical. I admire it everytime I go there. They have also got some aboslutely awesome designers over there with some beautiful kits and designs. You just got to go check it out. Make sure you register in the forum also because they have some great challenges and events happening.

Today I have three LO's here from Charlize Creation who is a designer over there. She's got some beautiful kits. Sweet and whimsical. If you're looking for one about the circus or carnival, she has an amazing one called "Festive". These first two LO's are from Charlize kit called "Pure Joy". One is my husband and our little Heaven when she was a baby. She's sixteen now. She was so cute. Such a little munchkin. The other one is of Heaven floating in her little floatie in the pool and my other daughter and friend. The third LO was created using Charlize kit "Afternoon in Mulberry Lane". Love the unique elements in this kit. This one features my daughter Autumn posing for a few pics for me.

This next set of LO's was created using the free kit "My little fantastic World" by SunshineArtz available at her blog. This kit is so sweet and so whimsical, I just loved creating with it. And the best part is it's free. Also at the end of this post is a free quickpage I created with this kit. Both of these LO's are of my daughter Autumn when she was little playing in the backyard. The wordart in the first LO is from Lori Davisons kit "Ticket to Dragons End".

Have a Great Weekend

Hey everyone. Hope you all are getting ready for an awesome Labor Day weekend. I'm not sure what our plans are but I know they will include riding the new Harley (yaye). My butt did pretty well being in the saddle all day Saturday. It sure was fun. I love the feeling though it is a little scary when big trucks go by.

This week, Sept. 4th - 11th, is Grab Bag week at DSO so you can get some really awesome Grab Bags for only $3 each, and let me tell you, there is some nice stuff in there. Definitely a deal.

Here are some of my LO's using the GB's. Two of them are about the Stagecoach Days that take place in Jefferson, TX. It is really fun. The entire town transforms into a civil war town. They even have encampments for civil war and union soldiers with tents and everything throughout the town. They also do several re-enactments which is a lot of fun to watch. For these two LO's I used "Shabby Twang" by KimB which is in her Sept. GB at DSO. I also used a template on the second one by Bunny Cates also available at DSO.

This third LO is my Sister-in-law Shannon with her lovely smile. The flowers are from KimB's Grab Bag and so is the alpha. I also used a template from Bunny Cates and pieces of "Jean Genie" by LouCee Creations. These products are at DSO.

Great Kits and New LO's

Wow it's been a week since I last blogged. I blame it on school starting because now, once again, I spend a good portion of my day in the car driving kids from one thing to the next. Then picking up this kid and that one. Nothing ever seems to coordinate either so that I'm picking up and dropping off all in the same trip. Anyhow...

I have been very busy this week doing LO's for different designers. Most I can't show yet. I do have a couple though. First I would like to remind everyone that DSA is hosting a chat tomorrow night for the opening of a brand new store "Daydreamer Designworks". The store will have it's grand opening on Sept. 4th and they will be having all kinds of challenges and fun stuff happening for the grand opening. They have got some awesome designers too like ScrapShana, ValerieN Designs, Jen Yurko, Karen Lewis Designz, and Graham Like the Cracker. It's very exciting and I'm so happy to be on the creative team for the store.

Rachel (Captivated Visions) is about to release a brand new kit on August 30th. It is just beautiful and and the colors are gorgeous. You will be able to pick it up at Divine Digital, Enchanted Studio Scraps and Captivated Visions. Here is a sneak peek:



SAS Designs just released a kit today called "Fading Summer". It's got lots of soft pretty textured papers and elements. It's a beautiful kit with a lot of possibilities. I found it to be one of those kits that so many things were going through my head on what to do with it that I almost had a hard time deciding what to do. "Fading Summer" can be picked up at Bits2Kits, A Cherry on Top or Divine Digital. I made two LO's with this kit. One if of my daughter all dressed up and ready for the Homecoming Dance last year. I thought this kit was perfect for this photo. The other LO is of me and my daughter.

I also did a LO with a kit called "Crazy" also by SAS Designs. It was a perfect match for my daughters crazy hair which you can see below.





Finally here is anothe LO I did with "Jean Genie" by LouCee Creations over at DSO. I love this kit. It has great elements and very pretty papers. I loved the wordart too which is by Jazzy's Words to Delite. I think the frames in this kit are just beautiful and the pocket elements are definitely a unique twist. This LO is of my daughters best friend, Hayley. I love the attitude in this pic.
