Color Me Bright and a Freebie

Hi everyone. Hope your week is going well sr>ro far. I've been busy working, scrappin and planning a family kayaking trip. I'm so excited to go. My kids are pretty much grown and it is so hard with everyone's schedule to get everyone together anymore. It seems like forever since we have done anything like this together so I'm going to thoroughly enjoy every minute with my kids and husband. I love going kayaking. It's like going to the waterpark but without standing in big lines in the hot sun.

Also I've been wanting to try my hand at some hybrid projects. I was thinking of some layouts then some cards. I saw a beautiful recipe box in the forum at shabby shoppe that I would like to make but I think I need to start a little simpler, but it is such a gorgeous little box.

I can even see myself scrapping my teenage son with this one. In this layout I used a picture of my daughter when she was 14 months at the lake. This is one of my favorite pics of her.
